My Journey

Since 2023, I have been working in the Data Engineering team, focusing primarily on creating data pipelines in Snowflake using Dataiku to automate ETL processes and writing automated regression tests.

Prior to 2023, I was working in the Data Advisory team, consulting clients around data management best practices, implementing and refining data management operating models, designing and implementing data quality & dashboarding solutions.

Dobrocin.sk is a non-profit organisation based in Slovakia running a crowdfunding platform allowing other non-profit organisations to raise finances to support their projects.

As a co-founder and lead technologist, I have developed the underlying crowdfunding platform comprising of frontend, backend (serverless functions, nosql database), and integration with the payment processing service. The solution includes a complex custom-built content management system, including secure worfklows ensuring that content is reviewed and approved by administrators prior to publishing.

I have been drawn to software development from an early age, and have been developing and releasing iOS applications since 2014. Admittedly, the apps themselves never gained much traction, but the process of building and publishing apps strengthened my grip on technical way of thinking and made me appreciate the amount of work going into a successful app launch beyond just the development time.
